SSA Fireside Chat with Minister Josephine Teo

Unit Camp 2024
(23 - 24 February)
SSA held a Fireside Chat with Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister for Communications and Information and representatives from Uniformed Groups on the topic of “Creating a Safer and Better Internet for All”. Mdm Tharani, our CI, was one of the representative for NPCC in the event. Through the event, she was given opportunities to share her views regarding digital literacy, safeguarding against online harm and how we can strengthen digital literacy amongst our youth.
The Secondary 4 cadet leaders planned the camp this year. In addition to having a great time, the cadets used the camp to practice their campcraft skills, learn how to lead, form bonds with one another, and cultivate values like responsibility. It was a great success!
Passing out Parade (POP)

Air Pistol Enrichment Programme (School-Based)

The POP both announces the appointment of the incoming class of cadet leaders and honors the contributions made by the outgoing batch.
The Secondary 1 to 3 cadets were given the opportunity to shoot an air pistol! This activity provides an opportunity for the cadets to familiarize themselves with the safety procedures and also to learn how to aim properly. For the Secondary 3 cadets, this was also the time when they could prepare themselves for their live round .22 revolver shooting at the Home-Team Academy (HTA). Everyone had a great time and some cadets even went for second round of shooting!
SPF Award Ceremony 2024

The SPF-NPCC Badge is the pinnacle badge for NPCC cadets - The highest level of award an NPCC cadet can achieve. This year, our Secondary 4 cadet, Fatimah went through several rounds of selection to be one of the top few cadets chosen to receive this prestigious award. This award testifies to her learning, right attitude as well as her stellar aptitude as a NPCC cadet.
Swearing In & Area Games Day 2024

Cadets in Area 14 had loads of fun playing games together and our cadets were also able to strengthen their bonds together. It was also the day for our Secondary 1 Swearing-In. Welcome to NPCC, Secondary 1 cadets!
NPCC Annual Parade (NPAP) 2024

NPCC Day
(6 May)
The NPCC Annual Parade (NPAP) celebrates NPCC Day and is also the day for NPCC to honour the outstanding achievements of its units. Our cadets, Brandon, Elvin, Ashvitha, Callison, Novan and Caitlin were part of the contingents formed by cadets from all NPCC units for the parade segment of NPAP.
Our unit celebrated NPCC Day with a joint-parade with Red Cross during morning assembly. The Red Cross was also celebrating Red Cross Day. Our Head of NPCC Brandon also read a message from A/Prof Stephen Phua, the Chairman of Home Team Corps Council and led the cadets in the reciting of the NPCC pledge.

Inter Unit Drill Shooting Competition

Our Sec 3 Cadet, Callison participated in the Finals of the .22 Revolver Shooting Competition due to her outstanding performance during the preliminary round. She achieved 5th placing among the top 10 female individual shooters in the competition. Congratulations Callison!
Home Team Gallery Visit
(31 July)
Our Sec 2 and 3 cadets participated in the NPCC Inter-Unit Drill Competition (Area 14), an annual event where cadets from various units showcase their precision, discipline, and teamwork in drill routines. Held at Queensway Secondary School, our cadets gave their best effort in performing the drill movements. Although they did not secure the top position, their dedication and hard work were commendable. Well done to all cadets for their effort!
National Day Parade (School)
(8 August)
our Secondary 3 cadets visited the Home Team Gallery, where we learned more about the Singapore Police force such as its history, and the various roles that are important to keeping our nation safe.
NPCC, along with the other uniform groups, commemorated National Day, where our country gained independence in 1965 and to celebrate our growth as a nation.
Community Safety and Security Program (CSSP)
CPR-AED Course
(14 August)
This year, the Sec 2 cadets addressed the issue on bullying in school and shared the impacts it has on the school and student population.
The Secondary 3 cadets attended a CPR-AED course and obtained life-saving skills from the course, learning about the do's and don'ts about both CPR and AED including the proper way to do CPR and use the AED kit.
Adventure Training Camp @ Pulau Ubin

Neighbourhood Police Centre Visit

Our Secondary 2 cadets went for the Adventure Training Camp, where they did various activities and bonded with fellow cadets from different schools.
The cadets were given the opportunity to understand the work of a police officer better and given a tour around the NPC.
Police Youth Ambassador (PYA)

(15 Oct)
The Secondary 3 cadets conducted a presentation on online scams during a school assembly and organized a community outreach program for local residents to share on Scamshield and SG Secure, in collaboration with the Neighborhood Police Centre (NPC).
Our Sec 3 cadets have an interactive hands-on experience of Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) by going through a series of crime scenes set up in mock-up HDB flats and the Virtual Reality (VR) On-Scene Investigation. This allows them to have hands-on experience and apply the crime scene management skills which they have learnt.
